Automattic is hiring a Senior Product Manager to join WooCommerce Payments and own a defined area of its payments products and partner integrations. The role works with the Head of Product and with engineering, design, support and partnerships teams on a payments business that handles billions in total volume.
- Set product direction, goals and priorities for a key part of the payments product area.
- Improve merchant and shopper experiences across onboarding, checkout, refunds and disputes, payouts, reporting and reliability.
- Reduce failures and friction, lower support volume and raise product ratings and merchant trust.
- Work with payments partners including Stripe and PayPal on integrations, dependencies and issue resolution.
- Spend much of the time on daily execution: writing issues in Linear, triaging bugs and incidents, shaping flows in Figma, building simple prototypes and writing briefs or PRDs.
- Candidates need 7 or more years in product roles, 4 or more years in payments or fintech, strong analytical habits and clear written communication. Familiarity with WooCommerce, WordPress or open source software is a plus, as is experience with large or global launches.
Location: Remote (Automattic is a fully remote company)
Salary: $170,000 to $240,000 USD. Automattic states that its salary ranges are global, regardless of location, and paid in local currency.
