**Job Overview**

Mailchimp is part of Intuit’s global technology platform, enabling marketing and automation for millions of small businesses. As the Head of Sales Development you will lead and scale an ambitious sales development organization driving growth for the mid‑market new business segment. You will define strategy, develop the team, and drive the success of the mid‑market new business sales function, shaping how Mailchimp engages prospects and converts opportunities.

### Responsibilities
– **Leadership & Team Management:** Build a world‑class sales development organization and inspire a culture of excellence and collaboration. Coach and mentor BDR managers and individual contributors, hiring and developing top talent.
– **Strategy & Execution:** Define and execute the vision and roadmap for sales development. Partner with Marketing, Sales and cross‑functional teams to create demand generation strategies, lead qualification processes and frameworks for quality handoffs from marketing to BDRs and from BDRs to Account Executives.
– **Pipeline Growth & Operational Excellence:** Drive sustainable pipeline generation through outbound prospecting, inbound lead qualification and partner channels. Establish scalable systems and processes, implement rigorous performance tracking, forecasting and reporting, and refine strategy using data‑driven insights.
– **Coaching & Development:** Develop training programs to upskill the BDR team, foster an environment of continuous feedback and experimentation and refine go‑to‑market efforts.
– **Cross‑Functional Collaboration:** Partner closely with mid‑market sales leaders and marketing teams to align sales development with broader business goals; represent sales development in executive meetings, sharing insights and results.

### Qualifications
– **Experience:** 10+ years in sales development, business development or new business sales with at least 5 years leading managers; proven success building and scaling BDR teams in high‑growth environments; deep understanding of mid‑market sales dynamics and consultative selling.
– **Leadership:** Exceptional leadership and coaching skills with the executive presence to influence across the organization.
– **Strategy & Results:** Ability to define and execute innovative strategies that drive pipeline growth; analytical mindset and comfort making data‑informed decisions.
– **Collaboration:** Demonstrated success partnering with Marketing, Sales and Revenue Operations; strong cross‑functional communication and relationship‑building skills.
– **Technical Skills:** Expertise with CRM tools such as Salesforce, sales enablement platforms and analytics frameworks; familiarity with modern outbound prospecting techniques.
– **Cultural Fit:** Entrepreneurial, customer‑obsessed and willing to roll up your sleeves to build from the ground up.

### Compensation
New York $215,000 – $290,000 base pay range, plus eligibility for cash bonus, equity rewards and comprehensive benefits. Final pay is based on factors such as location, experience and job‑related skills.
