First thing’s first.  You need a Shopify account.  If you already have one, great.  Go ahead and skip to the next section.  If you don’t, click here to start a 14-day free trial.  The free Shopify trial is helpful as it gives you two weeks to set your store up.  You don’t even need a credit card to get started.

1. Click here for your free trial and then enter your email address and click the Start free trial button
2. In the next screen, create a password, enter your store name and click Create your store. The store name that you choose will be included in your store URL (for example, “Sally’s Store” will have the following URL: sallys-store.myshopify.com.  You will not be able to change this later.  However, you will be able to add any domain name you’d like later which will be what your customers see (for example, sallysstore.com).
3. Sit tight will Shopify sets your store up! Once it’s ready, you’ll be asked a few questions about your business. You can skip this for now if you’d like.
4. Next, enter your address (you can change this later) and click Enter my store

That’s it!  Pretty easy, right?  You officially now have a Shopify store and are ready to get things rolling!

Shopify will also send you a confirmation email to verify your account.  Simply click on Confirm email and you’re good to go.
