The Atlassian Global Events team drives customer engagement with the Atlassian brand and its portfolio of products. The team coordinates with sales, marketing, product, operations, and executive management departments to deliver Atlassian’s biggest brand events. The purpose of these events is to increase brand awareness, develop and advance the company’s sales pipeline, and educate and empower attendees.

This position is for an Event Marketing Manager who will be a part of the Proprietary Events team. The role involves executing both in-person and digital events. In addition to having a core discipline in event delivery, we require a team member with a strong background producing customer marketing events domestically and internationally. You will need excellent project management skills to drive complex projects forward and execute deliverables on time. A strategic mindset is essential to ensure that work is being done efficiently and aligned to business and program objectives.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Lead program management and localization strategies of events, focused on international road shows and tours
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define event objectives, target audiences, and desired outcomes
  • Lead and develop event strategies and experiences with key stakeholders to ensure programs align with overarching product roadmaps, event messaging pillars, business priorities and executive vision
  • Lead a team of internal stakeholders and vendors across all aspects of event program development and delivery, with the goal of delivering best-in-class event experiences across the full event lifecycle (pre, onsite and post-event)
  • Design event experiences that engage, educate, and entertain attendees while reflecting the company’s values
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review event operations for program quality and effectiveness, deploying and monitoring event measurement and analysis strategies and attendee feedback to learn, improve and optimize programs.
  • Travel onsite to programs to ensure successful program execution and exceptional business partner service
  • Manage program budgets to within agreed +/-, through to final bill and post-program reconciliations Assist in any initiatives led by the Global Events team, with a willingness to jump into cross-team event projects when needed

On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:

  • 5-7+ years of proven event experience, preferably within a high growth tech organization
  • Team first mentality, with the willingness to align to company values to build solid internal relationships and trust with stakeholders
  • Experience planning and executing events and/or conferences virtually and in person, ranging from 100-1,000 attendees
  • Marketing communications experience in a corporate environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb prioritization skills, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently through a prioritized list of deliverables
  • Ability to effectively delegate work across teams, both local and remote, from internal and vendor support
  • Strong budget and expense management experience, with familiarity working in multiple currencies
  • The ability to present program strategy, plans, and updates to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leaders

Although not required we would love for you to have:

  • General knowledge and comfort with event and project management software, including Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Swoogo, and Keynote. Knowledge and experience with Atlassian software including Jira and Confluence is a plus, but not essential
  • Previous experience on both corporate and event agency environments
  • Experience managing dedicated event work streams on larger corporate event programs (e.g 1,000-10,000 attendees)

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate’s skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $110,100 – $146,800

Zone B: $99,100 – $132,100

Zone C: $91,400 – $121,800

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
