Coinbase CT Lead

We’re looking for a Coinbase CT Lead to work alongside our executive & communication teams. This role will be instrumental in owning & strategizing the company’s Crypto Twitter presence. The ideal candidate is a seasoned & respected crypto twitter native that has a proven understanding of crypto twitter best practices.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

• Lead rapid-response communications for crisis & issues management on social media.
• Develop and execute social & new media strategies for Coinbase spokespeople, both proactive and reactive.
• Craft compelling, concise, and clear messages that resonate and amplify our executives’ voices.
• Create engaging content that cuts through FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) and communicates directly with the audience.
• Work cross-functionally with other execs and teams on high-priority issues in crypto and for Coinbase.
• Be flexible with working hours as crypto never sleeps and sometimes neither do we.

Must-haves:

• Deep understanding of social and new media landscapes.
• Passion for crypto and economic freedom.
• Strong background in building and engaging with a social media following, especially on X.
• Proven experience as a talented copywriter and memer.
• Direct communication style; despises corporate speak.
• Thick skin – open to feedback and does not get emotionally affected.
• Born & raised in the Twitter/X trenches.

Nice to haves:

• Solid working relationships with social and new media.
• Experience in public relations.
• Understanding of the regulatory, security, political, and technical landscapes influencing cryptocurrency.
